How to Support Us

Giving Time

The Adoption Option Trust is aiming to supply the DVD and associated support materials to every GP practice, pregnancy counsellor, school counsellor, youth group and other organisations working with youth. To maximise the chance of the materials being used, rather than posting materials to these organisations, the Trust wants to distribute the materials more personally through a regional network of supporters. We are looking for volunteers in different parts of the country to help do this, especially people who have contacts in the medical, counselling or youth support fields. Giving Financially

The Adoption Option Trust is an independent trust. It is not sponsored by any group or organisation. It relies on voluntary donations to survive.

The Trust employs no staff and all the work is done by volunteers. All available funds are used to produce the DVDs and associated support materials and distribute them around New Zealand. The aim is to have such materials available to anybody involved in a crisis pregnancy. To achieve this the Trust is aiming to supply the materials to every GP practice, pregnancy counsellor, school counsellor, youth group and other organisations working with youth.

To initially supply DVDs and supporting written material and posters throughout New Zealand will cost an estimated $85,000. The Trust was started in Christchurch and so the funds to cover this area have been raised. In addition some support has been received to start supplying resources in Auckland. Ongoing funding is also needed to replenish resources.

We have a Supporters Membership. The annual membership fee is $20. For this members receive an email alert of the quarterly newsletter and occasional Supporters emails. To reduce administration membership will run January to January. Once you have paid please email treasurer@adoptionoption.org.nz stating you have paid to become a supporter and giving your address. Tracy will log your email address for the supporter’s newsletter and send you out a tax-deductible receipt.

Gift Cards. You can buy a gift card that allows us to supply DVDs to those involved in a crisis pregnancy. $10 buys a single DVD, $25 buys a pack of 2 with accompanying posters and leaflets, and $60 buys 10 DVDs. For every Gift you buy we will send you a Gift Card  to pass on to your family or friends. The card includes a description of your gift, along with a space for you to record the name of the person you are giving the item to (as shown below). The amount spent is not shown on the card, instead we will mail you a tax deductible receipt. If you wish to order a Gift Card please email your order to info@adoptionoption.org.nz and pay by electronic payment (see above) or write to us with details of your order and your contact details, enclosing a cheque, to Adoption Option Trust, PO Box 13434, Christchurch.
